ABOUT US

Who We Are

Turning restoration into recreation since 2003.

We Love Clean Rivers, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to cleaning high-use rivers by mobilizing the recreation community. We believe that the people who enjoy the water are the best stewards to protect it.

Through hands-on river cleanups, educational programs, and community partnerships, we transform the daunting task of environmental restoration into fun, engaging events. We don't just pick up trash; we build a culture of stewardship that ensures our waterways remain pristine for future generations to explore.

Our Impact

What's At Stake

Ecological Health

High-use rivers face a constant accumulation of single-use plastics, submerged debris, and industrial waste. This pollution threatens water quality, endangers wildlife, and degrades the natural beauty of our recreational spaces.

Our Solution

Active Stewardship

Restoration can still be fun! By mobilizing kayakers, rafters, and drift boaters, we organize large-scale cleanups that access hard-to-reach areas, removing thousands of pounds of trash while building community.

Why We Do It

Build A Community

Rivers are vital to our ecosystem and our community. We act to protect drinking water, recreational sites and wildlife habitats because healthy rivers create healthy communities.
