Down the River Cleanup 2.0 – Each Section Gets Its Own Mini Cleanup Day

Cleanup Volunteers:

Thank you again to everyone who registered for the 2022 Down the River Cleanup and for your patience as we had to cancel the event this past Sunday due to wildfire dangers.

Despite the setback, we still intend to get the Cleanup done before the fall rains begin!

Down the River Mini Cleanups

To make this work we have scheduled a series of Down the River Mini Cleanups for each section of the river over the next two weeks, culminating in a final Barton to Carver cleanup and cookout on Saturday, September 24th.

  • Friday, Sept. 16 – Riverside to Clackamette (3.2 miles) 9am-Noon
  • Wednesday, Sept. 21 – Carver to Riverside (4.8 miles) 9am-1pm
  • Friday, Sept. 23 – McIver (Upper launch) to Barton (8.6 miles) the 8am-1pm
  • Saturday, Sept. 24 – Barton to Carver (5.3 miles) 8am-Noon
    • Cookout is Noon to 2pm at Picnic Area #1

Sign up Here on Eventbrite for a Mini Clean up and the Cookout!

Sign up for one or all of them!* Apologies to anyone who can’t make it during the work week, but the Barton to Carver run is on Saturday so we hope that works for some of you.

Cookout is still on!

You are also invited to a Cookout at Barton (Picnic Area #1) to celebrate our volunteer achievements immediately following the September Barton to Carver cleanup.  Cookout starts at noon and runs to 2pm. Please sign up on Eventbrite

Again, we are so grateful for the hard work and great attitudes of all the volunteers, and look forward to seeing you on the river soon!

*PS. Yes, you can join more than one mini cleanup! For those of you shooting to do all four sections, we have a special prize for you called  the ‘Muskrat Marathon Award.’ Get it if you can!
